CLINICS

SwimLens is delivered through structured, optional clinics designed to fit cleanly within existing training seasons.

All SwimLens clinics are supplemental and non-instructional.

What a SwimLens Clinic Is

SwimLens clinic is a scheduled session during which swimmers are briefly filmed swimming short distances of each stroke. After which each participants receives a digital delivery of edited videos and a written report, usually within 7 days.

Key characteristics of SwimLens clinics:

  • Optional participation
  • No instruction or correction on deck
  • Open and observable environment
  • Focused solely on capturing video for later analysis

The clinic itself is the data-collection phase of the SwimLens process. All analysis happens afterward.

What SwimLens Is Designed to Do

SwimLens exists to help swimmers:

  • See their own stroke from multiple angles
  • Understand body position, timing, and movement patterns
  • Develop a clearer visual reference for technique discussions
  • Engage more thoughtfully with feedback from their coach

The goal is awareness and understanding, not immediate correction.

Types of Clinics

Open Clinics

Open to Individual Swimmers- Our Facility

These clinics:

  • Are available to any USA Swimming registered swimmer
  • May include swimmers from multiple clubs
  • Are scheduled in advance- no walk-ins
  • Are offered occasionally and only when sufficient participation is confirmed
  • Are typically hosted by a USA Swimming member club, with filming and analysis services provided by SwimLens.
  • These also include occasional special clinics for starts/turns.

Because pool availability varies, these clinics available for individual swimmers are announced selectively rather than offered continuously.

Team Clinics

Booked by a Team- Our Facility

Coaches may coordinate private team or group sessions for their athletes at one of our locations. These clinics are hosted by one of the USA Swimming member clubs in the area, for insurance and sanctioning reasons, with SwimLens providing all the filming and analysis services. Swimmers DO NOT need to be members of the hosting club/facility, just the club/team booking the session.

Team clinics:

  • Are arranged directly between SwimLens and the coach
  • Follow the same non-instructional format
  • Allow teams to schedule sessions that fit their training calendar without having to secure pool time for filming.

Pricing and scheduling for coach-coordinated clinics are handled privately and are not publicly listed.

Club-Hosted clinics:

  • Take place within already secured pool time at the host club
  • Are coordinated directly by the host club
  • Are offered only to that club’s swimmers

Owners/Coaches- Hosting a clinic at your own facility once or twice a year might be an easier and more economic option for your club/team. Get in touch about pricing and (sanctioning) requirements for SwimLens to come to you.

Participation Guidelines

To ensure a high-quality experience, SwimLens clinics follow a few guiding principles:

  • Participation is always optional
  • Clinics are intended as periodic checkpoints, not recurring sessions
  • Most swimmers participate once per season
  • Repeat participation within a short time frame is typically coordinated with a coach

These guidelines help maintain clarity, usefulness, and alignment with regular training.correction.

Age Focus

SwimLens clinics are primarily designed for competitive age-group swimmers, typically in the 10–16 age range.

Participation outside this range may be appropriate depending on swimmer readiness and comfort in the water and is usually coordinated with a coach.
